The symposium "Community Engagement: Transforming Graduate Education in the Humanities" will feature the Interdisciplinary Humanities graduate students that we have been working with for the past two years as they developed and completed community-engaged research projects.
In addition to featuring our UC Merced graduate student projects, we will connect our initiative to a national context by featuring Imagining America, a network that links artists, designers, and scholars who are engaging with the public/community-engaged research. We'll have Erica Kohl Arenas, IA's Faculty Director and four current IA PAGE Fellows (Publicly Active Graduate Education) share their community engagement experiences and perspectives.
